I liked this place before leaving home. Promptly received nice e-mail conformation letter telling about amenities instead upfront or cancelation fees or park rules. Easy access from freeway. Camping World just outside entrance of park. Upon entering the resort is a wide check-in area. Very friendly staff. Restrooms were like a fancy hotel resort with decorative tile and marble countertops all with modern touchless dispensers.Pool/spa clean with perfect temps. On site restaurant had excellent happy hour deals with delicious food. Nice computer station with supplied computers. Once the trees mature and they add picnic tables I would not hesitate giving perfect score and return anytime passing by.
A previous review of a person saying "nicest commercial RV park ever stayed in" was for wrong park. I suspect it was for the Springs At Borrego which we drove thru. The best word to describe The Palm Canyon is average. Sites are close together. Most of park is on a gradual slant that may need some leveling but we didn't for short stay. We had a back-in site against row of trees provided some shade. Some hiking trails behind the park. Short bike ride to SP visitor center or into town in other direction. Clean newly painted restrooms with plenty of showers with looks of more work in progress. Have 2 pools and 2 spas. One is heated but could've been warmer. Pool/spa in need of some resurfacing. Nice exercise equipment as part of hotel that RV guest may use. Advertise having basketball but is located in a parking lot with cars park on court. Have a Sunday food and drink special at Hotel bar where you can get $1.00 burgers or 3 tacos for $2 and $2.00 Margaritas. $5.00 a day for WiFi at site or free in lobby. Over all we enjoyed or stay especially visiting Anza Borrego during one of the better years for wildflower viewing.
Ocean views are the main draw here. But getting to the beach is scary crossing busy PCH. Some sites are tight. Staff was nice but very strict on park rules. No parking on empty neigbors site, even for a minute, even though park about half full. Even a friendly 30 minute warning to vacate or risk being charged another full night. $5 extra cover charge for more than 2 people, I think is unnecessary, plus $3 for dogs. Spa not working, new one is on order. Flood lights are a bit too bright. It's a clean well kept park. I would camp here again but probly not in summer, too cramped and pricey.
